About Us
Due to the lack of availability of encapsulated kratom at its point of conception, Socratic Solutions was founded out of necessity.  What began as a small, family-owned shop eventually lead to an eBay store, which quickly became our sole focus.  We closed up physical shop and went to work on the e-commerce side of the business.

When eBay decided to eliminate kratom vendors, we realized the importance of branching out online.  Since the company’s owner had been trading in kratom since 2014 and had developed many relationships with kratom growers and their organizations, Socratic Solutions wanted to try out a business model different than that of its competitors.

Rather than focusing on supplying wholesale kratom, we have decided to eliminate the middleman and now invite you to buy directly from the people bringing kratom into the country.  We realize that our customers are used to the “Amazon experience,” and we try our best to align by offering free, fast shipping everyday and a completely customer-centric culture.
Model

Our general business strategy is cost leadership.  In other words, we are continuously networking, researching, and developing ways to keep our costs at a minimum because we want to be able to provide high-quality kratom to end-users at the best possible prices.  We do not spend unnecessarily on extravagant packaging materials, low-ROI advertising, Priority shipping for smaller orders, or other “frills.”  If it does not actually add value for the customer, it will not be found here.

Where we never cut costs:

    Product quality control:

When our kratom is harvested, leaves are carefully analyzed and hand selected so that only mature leaves move on.  To yield a premium grade finished product, our kratom is grown in soil with distinctly high acidity levels and each strain is cured in its own way to produce its unique color, aroma, and alkaloid profile. Our associates in Indonesia have combined generations of experience and are masters of their trade.

Once we receive a shipment, four to eight ounces of each type of product is sent to a domestic laboratory analysis firm for another round of testing.  We believe this highly controlled testing adds value for the consumer.  Each product is tested for the presence of e. coli, listeria, salmonella, yeast, mold, and heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, and chromium) at this point.  We accept into inventory only batches with a spotless laboratory analysis report.

    Materials handling:

We produce all of our finished products in-house where we are in complete control of hygenic and safety standards.  Our manufacturing is done inside of an clean room designed around ISO Class 8 standards.  The air inside is HEPA-filtered and completely changes around ten times per hour, all surfaces and smooth and impervious, air pressure is greater than atmosphere, and the room is cleaned throughout each day.
We firmly believe in transparency, so please note: although all facility design work was done following ISO 8 and cGMP guidelines, we have not paid for auditing and certification. It is not a requirement within our industry and the necessary red tape and fees would have a very negative impact on our pricing ability. However, our plant, equipment, materials, processes, and people remain at all times in conditions which would pass an audit by the FDA or any ISO-certifying authority.

Our team members also hold ServSafe food handler’s licenses.  It is our belief that spending time and money on these things builds trust in our relationships and the investments pay for themselves in the end through increased word-of-mouth referrals.  This one is a no-brainer.

    Training:

We stay “in the loop” within our industry to ensure compliance with the newest standards.  We love to learn in general, so we take advantage of any new relevant training materials we can find.  Again, we believe we get back what we put into the company.

We pledge to bring you quality, consistency, and value.  We are strongly committed to the customer because they support and trust us.  We never want to break that trust.  This is an iterative process and we are always reevaluating ways to improve our products and processes.  Simply put, we want our customers to feel the way we would want to feel if we were in their situation.  Ethics are important to us and we want to show this in all of our interactions.

Shipping Policy

We ship SAME DAY for all orders arriving before 1:00 p.m. EST Monday through Saturday.  Orders after the cutoff time or on Sundays are sent out the following business day.  All orders are shipped for free - included in the price.  Orders are sent as USPS First-class packages if the order is less than $50.  All orders that total $50 or higher are automatically upgraded to USPS Priority at no additional charge.  Once we physically provide USPS with packages, we no longer have control over any remaining aspect of the delivery as as such are not responsible for delivery delays caused by USPS.

Return Policy

All refund requrests must be made within 30 days of order receipt, no exceptions

Socratic Solutions does not assume the responsibility for any return shipping costs related to returns or exchanges. Orders go through thorough inspection by an experienced worker certified in professional food handling before being packed, and are then re-inspected upon packaging.  As such, Socratic Solutions doesassume the responsibility for the quality of our goods upon arrival to the customer (ie. broken capsules) as products only leave our facility if they are fully intact and suitable for the end-user.  SocraticSolutons is not responsible for shipping costs when an exchanged product is sent back out to customers.


NOTICE:  All return requests are to be accompanied by the original product, unopened and with heat-seal still intact. Socratic Solutions does not issue refunds for opened items.
